Priime Fractionated Coconut Oil FAQs

Q: What is Fractionated Coconut Oil?

A: It is the ideal companion for Priime Essential Oil Blends.

Q: What do they do?

Light Moisturizer- Priime Fractionated Coconut Oil makes a light and silky moisturizer that may be applied directly to dry skin and hair. It is easily absorbed, leaving no greasy residue, and is safe and soothing for those suffering from eczema, psoriasis, and dry, itchy skin.

Dietary Supplement- Priime Fractionated Coconut Oil is an excellent dietary supplement. It is a rich source of medium-chain fatty acids, which are readily assimilated and used for energy rather than stored as fat, boosting the metabolism and assisting healthy cholesterol levels.

Q: How does Fractionated Coconut Oil work?

A: Priime Fractionated Coconut Oil is a food-grade carrier oil and supplement. It is readily absorbed into the skin, hair and digestive system, making it an ideal moisturizer, carrier oil, massage oil and dietary aide.

Q: What is in Fractionated Coconut Oil?

A: Fractionation refers to the process of separating whole coconut oils into layers through cooling, similar to cream rising to the top of whole milk. Fractionating and separation produces a light, penetrating oil that can be used as a moisturizer, a dietary supplement or a carrier oil that is non-staining, nongreasy and resistant to rancidity.

Q: How can I use Fractionated Coconut Oil?

A: You can use your Fractionated Coconut Oil alone, as well as with the essential oil blends!

Carrier Oil- For sensitive skin, including children, mix one drop of your favorite Priime Essential Oil with five drops Priime Fractionated Coconut Oil or according to essential oil instructions, prior to application on the skin.

Diffusion- Dilute one part essential oil with up to one quarter teaspoon Priime Fractionated Coconut Oil prior to use in diffuser for a gentler fragrance, although Priime Essential Oil Blends may also be used undiluted for most intense aromatherapy.

Moisturizer- Smooth a few drops between the palms of your hand and apply directly to dry skin and hair. Work in gently for immediate results. Excellent for those suffering from psoriasis, eczema and other dry skin conditions. May be mixed with Priime Essential Oil Blends to customize fragrance and therapy.

Massage Oil- Mix a few drops of your favorite Priime Essential Oil Blend with a quarter-sized amount of Priime Fractionated Coconut Oil in the palm of your hand. Mix and warm gently by rubbing between the hands before applying for a light, moisturizing massage oil.

Dietary Use- Priime Fractionated Coconut Oil is a superior source of medium-chain fatty acids that support healthy cholesterol levels and boost metabolism. Should your diet plateau, try one or two tablespoons per day in a smoothie or salad dressing as part of a low calorie diet until weight loss resumes.

Q: Are Priime essential oil blends safe for use during pregnancy?

A: Pregnant or lactating women should always consult with their doctor or primary care adviser before using essential oils or essential oil blends. Experts recommend that all essential oils be avoided during the first trimester and only those approved by your primary health care adviser be used during the second and third trimesters.

Q: Which essential oils are considered safe for use during the second and third trimesters?

A: Experts generally agree that the following essential oils—all of which are included in Priime essential oil blends—are safe for the later stages of pregnancy when the baby is more fully developed:
• Bergamot
• Roman Chamomile
• Eucalyptus
• Geranium Rose
• Pink Grapefruit
• Lavender
• Lemon
• Melissa Leaf
• Neroli
• Patchouli
• Damask Rose
• Orange
• Tea Tree

Q: Which essential oil blends should be avoided during pregnancy or when lactating?

A: Do not use Ice or Sentry blends throughout pregnancy and nursing. They contain the powerful oils wintergreen, white camphor, and cinnamon, which are not recommended for use during pregnancy or lactation.

Q: Should I use the essential oil blends at full strength?

A: All essential oils and oil blends should be diluted for use during pregnancy or lactation. It is advised to use 10 percent or less of Calm and Escape blends by mixing 1 part essential oil blend with 9 parts Fractionated Coconut Oil.

Q: Is Fractionated Coconut Oil (MCT) approved for use during pregnancy or lactation?

A: While not enough studies have been done to definitively determine the effect of Fractionated Coconut Oil (MTC) during pregnancy or nursing, several studies have suggested that MTC supports the production of lauric and capric acid in breast milk which provides nutritional benefits and microbial protection to the nursing infant. As always, please check with your primary health care advisor before using Fractionated Coconut Oil during pregnancy or while lactating.
